WIP Wednesday – October 31st edition

Happy Wednesday and Happy Halloween!

Let’s get right into it, shall we.

I started a new project last night.  I looked at the pile of quilts needing backs and quilting and just couldn’t get into it, so started a cheerful wall quilt.  It is called “Spring”.  With the wind and rain from a waning Hurricane Sandy outside, I needed something cheerful.  This is a fairly easy project.  I will enjoy just putting it together.  It is also small, so by the time it is put together, I may be ready to try out my newly honed machine quilting skills!

I made the first three blocks – they are all baskets with an appliqued handle.  I love how they finished….

Status on other projects:

* Envy Quilt – backing fabric has been found, ready to baste and quilt.

* Surprise Quilt – looking for backing fabric

* Sew Out Loud {quilters wordplay} – Completed and added to the Bloggers Quilt Festival – check it out and be prepared to be truly inspired!

When you are finished there – check out Barbara’s blog:  Cat Patches and link up to her October New FO Linky Party and give-a-way, for any new projects you have started in October.

Happy Halloween all.

Connie 🙂
