Hello again. Here it is Wednesday and I have some new quilting to show you…
Firstly, I have made progress on my ‘Spring’ wall quilt. I assembled a pin wheel and checkerboard block and hand appliqued the rabbit, complete with a yo-yo for his tail. I have started hand appliqueing the flowers – two lily type flowers are complete, and I still have the leaves to add, as well as a bit of embroidery for the details on the stems and blossoms. I decided to use ‘heat & bond’ for the letters. They are a bit complicated to be hand appliqued.
Secondly, I started playing with a pack of charm squares of ‘Countdown to Christmas‘ by Sweetwater for Moda – they are soooo cute. I really didn’t need another holiday themed table runner, but have been seeing some of the cutest pillows on Flickr of late, so I made up a couple of pillow covers of my own design, for my sofa for the holidays. They are wonderful. I am so happy with them.
Status on other projects:
* Envy Quilt – backing fabric has been found, ready to baste and quilt. (no progress)
* Surprise Quilt – looking for backing fabric (no progress)
