It has been remarkably warm for the past few days, at least for November in Canada!!! My hubby & I took advantage of the great weather and went walking along the shores of Lake Ontario in Sandbanks Provincial Park.
Here are some of the photos of our day…hope you enjoy them as much as we did taking them. 🙂 Click on the picture for a larger view…
@ the former Lakeshore Lodge location
Hubby found a way down to beach
Checking out the view
This guy was really good – fun to watch
The end of the rocks and the start of the sandy beach
Ahoy down there!
Oak and Maple trees.
Evidence of the power of the water & wind
Roots looking for water and a way to ‘hang on”!
Little tiny mussels on the rocks
Channels in the rocks
This tree wasn’t able to hang on…
More interesting rock formations
Someone has been here! 🙂
Oak leaves on the rock ledge
Another alcove, big enough for a person.
Rock ledges that have not yet collapsed.
Considering how nice the weather was, the beach was pretty empty.
An oak leaf was here.
Path back to the truck.
The beach, looking back.
Our trusty truck waiting for us.
Birdhouses in the park – they are all numbered, like little condos.
Walking paths that will be cross country ski trails when it snows.
Last hurrah of colour.
A stray asparagus plant.
Heading for home.
Thanks for visiting…Connie
