WIP Wednesday

I’ve not been doing very much in the sewing room of late. We have been busy with family, birthdays and of course, work. However this week I have been back at my sewing machine.

I am making a reproduction quilt from a MODA ‘Quilt for the Cure’ kit. I’m calling it “Baltimore Pinwheels”.

So far I have completed all 576 half square triangles (HST). I used Ta-Da Triangles and so far so good. (You can read about them in this earlier post).

The pattern has provided a chart of what combination of HST to use for each pinwheel, but that seemed too onerous. Instead I dumped them all on the floor; tossed them like a salad; the put them in a box to just grab & sew.

Here is how they are coming together :

I’ve made good progress. Here are the first 20 blocks … Only 112 to go!

What have you been working on? Head on over to Lee’s Freshly Pieced and see what everyone else is up to.

Until next time, Connie 🙂

I am living my dream life in the country! I love photography, travelling, cooking, baking and I even try my hand at quilting.
