WIP Wednesday

Hi there! I’ve been back in my sewing/quilt room this week. Come see what I have been working on!

I friend has asked if I would make a quilt for her. One of her friends is having a baby and she would like to give her a quilt as a gift. I love working on baby quilts…they are happy, cute, and usually finish pretty quickly.

The fabric is from the Fat Quarter Shop and is called, “Guess How Much I Love You” by Clothworks.  Sooo cute!  Just a little peek…

I’ve decided on a simple block. Just a whole bunch of half square triangles. First I cut a big pile of 6″ squares:

Then starts the assembly line of half-square triangle construction:

I have arranged the finished blocks in a couple of different layouts. Now I just have to see which one my friend likes best. Which do you like best drop me a line if you feel like it!

#1 – Off-Centre Barn Raising:

#2 – Zig Zag

#3 – Barn Raising (traditional setting)

I am also playing with two other options, a star setting and a completely random setting…

Feel free to give your opinions 🙂

Now head on over to Lee’s Freshly Pieced and see what everyone else is working on this week.

Until next time, Connie 🙂

I am living my dream life in the country! I love photography, travelling, cooking, baking and I even try my hand at quilting.
