Today wraps up a week of gratitude. It was a wonderful exercise. Sometimes you need to step back so that you can see the big picture. This week wasn’t actually a stellar week for me. Not the week I had envisioned when I decided to join this project. I’ve been home recuperating and even though I am feeling much better, I could have spent the time feeling sorry for myself (as I am prone to do when not well) but thanks to Michelle’s project I was able to look at the positive instead of the negative. Thank you for joining me on this journey.
Today has been quiet. I’m grateful that my hubby likes to cook as much as I do. He is currently making the ultimate comfort food, Boeuf Bourguingnon! The house smells divine…I am such a lucky girl.
I usually stay out of his way when he is cooking…so I have been puttering in my sewing room. I am grateful to have to opportunity to create. I am sewing from the hip today. I have a stack of 10″ squares of a really cute collection of fabric (Noteworthy by Sweetwater for Moda). It is bright and whimsical. Here are a few shots of my work so far…
This will be a lap quilt. It will be perfect for on the sofa. Perhaps it will be for sale…stay tuned to this blog to keep tabs on its progress.
Thank you once again for joining me this week. Head on over to Michelle’s michellegd and see how she wraps things up. I’m already looking forward to doing this again next year!
I close with a photo taken out of my living room window. I love that view and how it changes with the seasons. Another thing to be grateful for.
