A couple of weeks ago, I went on a photo walk with my local photography club to a pretty little conservation area near where I live. Here is my favourite photo that fits perfectly with this week’s subject:
I don’t know what kind of bird this is, exactly, however my friend & I were discussing him/her at length and feel that is part of the swallow family. It was flitting very quickly, low over the water, feeding on bugs (and there were lots of them, I might add). I took approx 300 shots to get 2 really good photos.
Here is a shot as he just successfully got something:
This is another character that makes the marsh his home. A red-winged blackbird. I am a little disappointed that this shot isn’t a bit sharper…I obviously need more practice taking wildlife photography … birds in particular.
