52 Photos Project – Week 16 :: Somewhere you visited

Wow! I’m so far behind!! I know that Bella NEVER puts pressure on this challenge (thank you!); however, I have challenged myself to share one photo for each weekly prompt. So what I will do here, is follow up with photos for the weeks I missed at the end of this post. Thank you for bearing with me 😉

This week, Bella’s prompt is “somewhere you visited”. I am starting to plan another vacation and this has brought last year’s to the forefront of my mind.

We stayed in Charleston, SC for a couple of days and while there, visited Middleton Place. Middleton Place is a “National Historic Landmark and home to America’s Oldest Landscaped Gardens”. We spent most of the day there.

This is the photo I wish to share from that day: it is of one of the many old Live Oak trees that I fell in love with. This branch is so long & heavy that it rests on the ground:

Since I am from Canada, I find the Spanish Moss enchanting:

A view of the only residential building still standing; it was the visiting gentlemen’s quarters when originally built:

Hubby and I love Charleston & the surrounding area. I highly recommend it for a visit.

Now to catch up on the weeks I missed.
Week 13 :: summertime refreshment {white wine spritzer on my porch with a Rose of Sharon from my garden}

Week 15 :: street corner {the corner where I live. These photos were taken with my iPhone 4s at 7:00 AM on my way to work one morning}

Thank you for visiting! Remember to check out Bella’s 52 Photo Project to see upcoming prompts and what everyone else is sharing.

Until next time, Connie 😄
