Thank you for visiting again. Here are my photos for the second group for Photo-a-day, that I follow. This is a group of friends from around the world that is smaller and more intimate than the other group that I play along with.

doorways – a cute ‘old fashioned’ barber shop on the Main Street in Cobourg, Ontario
say cheese – getting ready for lunch…some Swiss & some Cheddar
mountainview – we live near a little hamlet called “Mountainview”; here is the pretty little cemetary
apart – here my cup is apart from all the others
backwards – the letters on the ambulance are printed backwards…
calories – the nutritional facts, including calories, are listed on all processed foods here
stretch – my happy little assistant, Mr Sock Monkey, is demonstrating a wonderful yoga stretch; namaste to you too, Mr. Sock Monkey!
may – my birthday is in May; this is my birthstone, an emerald
my secret for survival – I start every day with a great cup of coffee
drag – this unusual contraption is dragged behind a tractor through the asparagus fields. four people sit on it (two per side) and bend over, cutting the asparagus as it slowly travels over the rows.
replete – a great historical book, replete in its notes & bibliography
globes – a wonderful plie of summer melons
it’s a date – days until my retirement…yay!
hollow – this is my favourite bowl to make Cesar Salad; it is a large hollowed out piece of maple
drive – we still have a drive-in theatre in “the county”
favourite part of the season – I love all the bright colors of the hollyhocks…they line the roadways here, splashing color everywhere
the long arm of the law – our local Ontario Provincial Police station
paper – my favourte paper – quilting books! (or any books for that matter)
over the top – this is the Bay Bridge, connecting Prince Edward County to the mainland at Belleville…I cross it twice a day on my way to and from work.
guy – this is my guy. he maked dinner for me everyday that I work. I am a very lucky girl 🙂
hard at work – this bumblebee is very hard at work in my rose of sharon bush
frenzy – Mr Sock Monkey is in a frenzy trying to help me for today’s prompt…here he is looking up the meaning of the word…Thanks, Mr Sock Monkey
gravestone – old stone coved in lichen…
clean – it’s difficult to make wash day exciting. here I have attempted an Andy Warhol-esque treatment…
lucky number – I have always thought 7 was my lucky number…now I am lucky enough to have this as my house number.
glassware – I love the soft early morning light shining through this pretty depression glass jug
speed – a Canadian Forces Globemaster, speeding across the sky
first time – I used this same photo in my other group for travel. I feel it works for this prompt too as many students will be going to school and on the bus for the “first time”
letter box – the post box at my local Post Office
local advertisement – this was in our local paper. we love attending these events; good food, great people
pond – a heavy rain left little ponds on our driveway
