A Quilting Finish

Some time last month I posted that I was quilting again.  My step-daughter is having her first baby, so of course I made a quilt.  You can read about the beginnings here!

Well, here is the big TA DA! moment!  It’s finished and none too soon.  Baby is due in less than a month!!!  We know it will be a girl.  I chose pinks and lavender with a background of soft yellow and white.  I think it is a very HAPPY quilt; so without further delay, here it is!

… and now the back…I used the scraps left over from making the top…

My sewing machine has over a hundred fancy stitches…I chose a pretty trailing, flowery, vine for down the middle of each of the chevrons…

I also discovered that I can personalize the quilt with a message in the binding. This one says, “A B…. & M…. Production 2014″…you can just see it here:

it looks so pretty rolled up...can you see the embroidered label on the binding?

…and lastly, a real close up of all the fuzzy, soft, goodness.  It will be very warm & cozy, which is needed in our cold Canadian winters.

Now all that is left is to wait for it’s recipient…I just love babies, don’t you?

I have had a real creative block for the last year…I hope this means that I have my creative juices flowing again.

Thank you for visiting…as always, I love all your comments.

Until next time, Connie 🙂
