52 Photos Project – Week 34 :: favourite pic of 2014

Hello & welcome back. I hope you all had a great Christmas, full of family, lots of food & good cheer.

This week’s prompt was a tough one for me; favourite pic of 2014. I received a new camera last year for Christmas. Because of that, I joined my local photography club to help me out. There have been monthly assignments & I have taken lots of photos that have challenged me. We also went on a wonderful vacation where I was was able to practice many of the things I have learned along the way.

So after hours of going through my photos, I picked this photo: IMG_1976.JPG
My husband & I went on one of our many morning walks on the beach. This flock of sea gulls took flight we walked by. I love the movement. I love the shadows of the birds in the water. I still feel the sea spray & warm sun when I look at this picture. Great memories. Great holiday.

Here are a few others to I was considering:

IMG_1977.JPG A pretty spring morning in my yard.

IMG_1980.JPG The every popular sunset over the Gulf of Mexico.

IMG_1978.JPG Low tide at Folly Beach, SC; this tree died when the salt water of the ocean overtook it.

IMG_1979.JPG A cobblestone street in one of my favourite cities…Charleston, SC.

There are many more that didn’t make the cut. Which are your favourites?

Don’t forget to head on over to Bella’s 52 Photos Project to see what others have chosen as their “best of 2014”. Thank you for visiting.

Until next time, Connie šŸ˜ƒ
