January 2015 :: week one

After a much needed two-month hiatus, I am back to taking a photo a day with Chantelle at Fat Mum Slim. She has made a minor change; publishing weekly lists instead of monthly. So far, I like the new format. Keeping that in mind, I thought I would share my photos with you, weekly as well.

Jan 1: the sky – It was an overcast day in my part of the world…cold and damp. These are my bare maple trees silhouetted against the steel grey sky. IMG_1989.JPG

Jan 2: something yellow – Artwork in front of a local gallery in the small town of Colbourne, ON (population 2000, according to the signs). The piece is called “Empathy” by Claus Heinecke (2011) IMG_2845.JPG

Jan 3: me today – Like almost everyone else, I’m happier behind the camera than in front of it. Here I am, in the car, on my way shopping. “Hello, nice to meet you!”

Jan 4: I hear – I hear … rain all night. It washed away all of the previous day’s snow. The prediction was for temperatures to drop. We were concerned that we would be dealing with very icy conditions in the morning, but a very brisk wind managed to dry things before it got cold.

That does it for the first week. Hope you enjoyed my offerings.

Until next time, Connie šŸ˜„

I am living my dream life in the country! I love photography, travelling, cooking, baking and I even try my hand at quilting.

  1. Connie, you look so happy on day three! I love day three the most. I got her app and I see the daily prompts. It seems so fun but for some reason, maybe I should just participate when I can, when it feels right. I also like the rain. Happy new year to you, may it be filled with lots of creative adventures, love and health.
