52 Photos Project – Week 36 :: nature’s gifts

It’s the second week of January and around my neck of the woods, winter has hit with a vengeance. I’ve had a few interesting drives to & from work. (or perhaps, nerve-wracking would be a better description). In the past three days, we have had over 2 feet of snow.

Along with the dangers of extreme cold and of course, winter driving, there is much beauty. I love how the world looks with that pretty white frosting.

Today was a snow day for me. This morning the weather was pretty scary but it did clear for a bit in the afternoon. I braved the cold for some pretty shots. Here are my “nature’s gifts”:

You can see the evidence of the wind & blowing snow; here it has blown a drift across our little creek.

A wondrous snow drift in our garden. Just 4 days ago there was bare ground. That drift is just over 3 feet deep.

As I turned to go back to the house, I spied the next squall bearing down on us.

…and so it begins again…

Thanks for visiting, and stay warm if you’re in the northern hemisphere.

Until next time, Connie 😃❄️
