March / April – week fourteen

Welcome to this week’s edition of Fat Mum Slim‘s photo a day challenge. Here in south-eastern Ontario, the snow is slowly melting, even though it is still very chilly out.

On to this week’s photos and prompts:

March 30 – on my table; spring is very slow in arriving this year so I purchased some spring flowers to brighten up my home

March 31 – two tone; my favourite handbag, a gift

April 1 – lunch; my friend, Mr Sock Monkey joined me for lunch today (someone had put him in my car as an April Fool’s prank) 😉

April 2 – building; I have been watching the decline of this old farm house for years.  I wonder how much longer it will remain standing?

April 3 – this is good; having a wonderful cup of coffee in my new California mug, a gift from my cosmic twin. (A blogging friend, whom I haven’t met) Makes me wonder if she is also having a cup and thinking of me as well, right now?!?

April 4 – I stood here; I stood on the edge of my driveway, watching the progress of the snow & ice disappearing from our creek. Just a couple of weeks ago, you wouldn’t have known that there was a creek here!

April 5 – egg; symbolic of this season of rebirth, this is a fine example of local, free range goodness.

Thank you for visiting. As always, I love your comments. If you would like follow along, you can get the prompts at Fat Mum Slim‘s blog; on Instagram #fmsphotoaday or follow me @basildonkitchens.

Until next time, Connie 😃

I am living my dream life in the country! I love photography, travelling, cooking, baking and I even try my hand at quilting.
