Five Photos, Five Stories Challenge – #1

I have been invited by Elizabeth of TeandPaper to join the Five Photos, Five Stories Challenge: “Post a photo each day for five consecutive days and attach a story to the photo. It can be fiction or non-fiction, a poem or a short paragraph and each day nominate another blogger for the challenge”. I met Elizabeth on Instagram earlier this year. She posts photos & stories, poetry, creative journals…she has inspired me!

Now let’s begin by telling you I am NOT a writer…this endeavour is a little scary…so please be kind! 🙂

Who is the lady in the red coat?  What is she doing?  Is she meeting someone coming in on that ferry in the distance?  Is she saying ‘goodbye’?  Perhaps she is just checking on spring’s progress…it seems so slow this year.  The sun is shining but the wind has a chilly undertone coming off all that ice, slowly breaking up after the winter.  The ice is so impressive.

I love the contrast of this woman in her red coat, surrounded by all that icy blue, don’t you?

Now the most difficult part of the challenge, to pick someone. Lots of great friends here, it’s difficult to pick one. Since I was visiting Avis’ blog (Oh Sew Tempting) few minutes ago I’ll choose her. Avis is a very creative quilter, and I love her stories.  I really hope she accepts 🙂

Until next time, Connie 🙂

I am living my dream life in the country! I love photography, travelling, cooking, baking and I even try my hand at quilting.

    1. Hi Jane! 😊 I am getting ready to post the next installment of 5 photos, 5 asked to be included (Thank you! ) Do you have a blog that I can link to? If so, what is it so that I can add it to the post.

  1. Hi Connie, lovely words and photo! I really like the contrast between the red and the blue, I’ve read somewhere that the photos with are red spot are perfect photos, so you have done a perfect job! Thanks again for joining!

    1. Me too – I just find it difficult to bring the words into a cohesive manner that other will understand…I must re-read & re-write each one 10 times before hitting the publish button….
