Five Photos, Five Stories Challenge – #2

I have been invited by Elizabeth of TeandPaper to join the Five Photos, Five Stories Challenge: “Post a photo each day for five consecutive days and attach a story to the photo. It can be fiction or non-fiction, a poem or a short paragraph and each day nominate another blogger for the challenge”. I met Elizabeth on Instagram earlier this year. She posts photos & stories, poetry, creative journals…she has inspired me!

As stated yesterday, I am NOT a writer, please be kind.  This is rather intimidating.

9375075670_eaffd16299_oDoors…I find doors a curiosity.  What is behind them?

  • is it boring – perhaps just storage?
  • is it exciting – someone’s studio where they create?
  • is it scary…bugs, spiders…worse?
  • this looks like a barn…could it be animals, old equipment or stock pile of crops?

This particular door is new; not yet sporting the patina of years of exposure to the elements.  Maybe it doesn’t have too many stories to tell yet.

I love the ivy growing up the wall.  I love the pops of colour.  This door just seemed to lead me to it.

In actuality, it is the barn at “The County Cider Company” in Prince Edward County, Ontario.  I believe they have the BEST view from their patio.  I hope you get the chance to visit it some time and have glass of their great cider while enjoying outstanding the view of their vineyards & South Bay.

Now the most difficult part of the challenge, to pick someone. Lots of great friends here, it’s difficult to pick one. I’d like to introduce you to Lenore’s blog (Explore Newness).  She loves trying new things, learning new things and posting about them.  She is a photographer and cooks too!  I really hope she accepts 🙂

Thank you for visiting, until next time, Connie 🙂

  1. What a fun challenge to do! I would love to. Thank you for the invitation! (Just give me a few days…I’m feeling swamped, but will get to this eventually) Love ALL your photos. They are terrific!

  2. I disagree with your ability to be a writer, your imagination is clearly there and I think you write out your words really nicely, they keep me interested. I wish I had more time. More time to just meander around. I for sure want to visit our friend tea and paper to see what she had been writing about!! I leave work in 15 minutes and have a full night. I’m hoping to get a good start on this in a day or two.

    1. **blushing** Thank you so much for your kind words…Writing stories for me brings horrendous memories of English class in public school. A little support then would have been appreciated…;)
