April 2015 – week seventeen

Welcome to another week of Fat Mum Slim‘s photo-a-day, where we are at week seventeen. We are well into April and it is still quite cool, though the snow is all gone and the grass is greening up nicely. Now on to this week’s prompts:

April 20; this happened; we welcomed some much needed rain. It is washing away all the winter grime and of course, April showers bring May flowers!

April 21 – season; I may complain about winter, but I really do love having 4 seasons. This is what my ‘spring’ is looking like today. Late afternoon sunshine on the marsh.

April 22 – mess; These pretty horses decided they would go for an adventure this particular morning. They left a couple of messes on our front lawn. On the bright side, we had the lawn cut, aerated & fertilized for free. FYI, they did make their way home safely.

April 23 – snack; As the saying goes, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away!” I decided to play with my “PhotoToaster” & “ColorBlast” Apps for this shot.

April 24 – fill the frame; some of the flowers in the spring bouquet hubby brought home for some color as it is snowing again today.

April 25 – I sat here; …enjoying the spring sunshine on my stream. So happy it’s starting to warm up.

April 26 – 4 o’clock; Its 4 o’clock and I’m editing photos from an earlier photo walk. This is an old collapsed barracks at Camp Picton.

Thank you for visiting, and as always, I enjoy all your comments. Remember you can follow Fat Mum Slim on Instagram #fmsphotoaday or follow me @basildonkitchens.

Until next time, Connie 😄

I am living my dream life in the country! I love photography, travelling, cooking, baking and I even try my hand at quilting.
