52 Photos Project #9 “lips”

This weeks’ prompt is “lips”!  It was proving a challenge…then I remembered an outing while on vacation in Madeira Beach, Florida.  Perfect…now, I just have to find the photo (Note to self: improve photo filing method)

After many hours of looking through our photos from various holidays, I finally found this shot:

Fun with “grouper lips”

We had spent the day out and about, enjoying the shops, sun, sea & sand…all that Florida has to offer.  After a great day, we all decided to stop for dinner on the way back to the condo.  When in Florida, you really want to enjoy all that they have to offer, and seafood is some of the best.  Very popular on the Gulf Coast is grouper…and one of the best places to enjoy this specialty, is a little, rustic spot called Dockside Dave’s on Gulf Blvd.  (there are two locations, one in Madeira Beach and the other is in St Pete’s Beach…both are great.  You can check them out here:  Dockside Dave’s)

The St Pete’s Beach location has a great drawing of a grouper on their fence.  We were all in a jovial mood and my hubby obligingly posed for this fun shot.  On a side note:  Just after we entered the premises, the heavens opened up and poured down in buckets, which is a common occurrence here.  We decided to stay until the deluge let up a bit, and of course, that meant staying long enough for dessert.  Their Key Lime Pie is legendary!  If you are in the area, and have a craving for grouper, make sure to drop by and check them out.

Thank you for dropping by.  Remember you can check out what others are posting on the 52 Photos Project on Flickr, follow along on Instagram #52photosproject or follow me @basildonkitchens.

Until next time, Connie 🙂
