July/August – week thirty one

Welcome back to this week’s edition of my photo-a-day challenge. I am currently following Beth at thebethadilly

On to this week’s photos:

July 27 – homemade; this is what I was working on.  I know it’s the middle of summer. But have actually started working on some Christmas gifts. This will become a little table runner

July 28 – light; my bedroom window is west facing and has the best afternoon light

July 29 – a portrait; this is my hubby. He doesn’t usually let me take his photo but this is a good one from earlier this year

July 30 – waiting; this past week I was working in another town (Cobourg, ON). They have a few painted pianos situated in various locations on the Main Street, waiting for anyone who passes by to sit down & play. This one is named “Sergei Raccoonoff”.

July 31 – a chore; laundry…it never ends

August 1 – lazy; it was a hot day so we spent a lazy afternoon in the shade of our backyard, watching the corn growing in the neighbour’s field a the clouds float by

August 2 – dots, this is the cover of my journal. I was drawn to the pattern, made entirely of dots on the cover. It reminds me of Australian Aboriginal Art.

I hope you had a great week, thank you for visiting.

Remember you can join or just follow along on Instagram #thebethadillychallenge or follow me @basildonkitchens
