August 2015 – week thirty three

Welcome back to week thirty three of my photo-a-day challenge. I am following Beth at thebethadilly as well as keeping my eye on Chantelle’s FMS Photo-a-day. And, occasionally, I will just break free and post a photo I just like instead.

Now grab your favourite beverage & take a few minutes to relax & scroll through last week’s photos.

August 10; powerful – I found this once powerful machine rusting away in a local field. It looks like nature is pretty powerful as well & successfully reclaiming it.

August 11; leading lines – I love this … tractor tracks in a wheat field.

August 12; frozen – I dug into the archives from last winter for this one. It was taken at Sandbanks Provincial Park, frozen …

August 13; a daily task – every morning & every evening (another chance to play with my Hipstamatic App)

August 14; reflection – another archive shot, because I like it so much. A shore bird (perhaps a sandpiper) taken during an early morning beach walk on our Florida vacation.

August 15; not a prompt, but I just loved the light this early morning in my garden.  Taking a quiet moment to observe the beauty, listen to the birds & appreciate all that I have.

August 16; shadow – again the wonderful morning light on my front yard. Shadows in the rising mist.

That’s my week … thank you for visiting. Remember you can join the fun on Instagram; #fmsphotoaday or #thebethadillychallenge. As always, you can follow me @basildonkitchens

Until next time, Connie 😊

I am living my dream life in the country! I love photography, travelling, cooking, baking and I even try my hand at quilting.
