August 2015 – week thirty five

Welcome back to this week’s edition of photo-a-day.  I am currently following Beth’s thebethadilly blog, as well as Chantelle’s Fat Mum Slim.  Remember to check out their blogs if you want to play along.

Summer is coming to a close here in southern-eastern Ontario.  Days are getting shorter.  Nights are getting cooler.  Trees are changing colours.  I love this time of year!  On to this week’s submissions:

August 24 – what I’m doing today; watching summer quietly wind down as the first fallen leaf of the season, found it’s way to my desk….

August 25 – two things; a mortar & pestle in my kitchen

August 26 – charming; back to last year’s vacation for this one.  This is one of the charming windows in the beautiful, charming, historic section of Charleston, SC

August 27 – yum; I love when a photo prompt makes you pick up a special treat for dinner!  This cup cake was indeed, YUM!

August 28 – natural light; the sun shone beautifully through the morning mist onto our little garden patch

August 29 – in between; this was our view on a road trip to visit my mom.  I’m not fond of super-highway traffic.

August 30 – water; again I have dug into my vacation photos.  This was during a morning walk; the day after a tropical storm hit the opposite side of the Gulf of Mexico.  The waves were spectacular that day.

Remember that you can join in the fun, follow on Instagram #thebethadillychallenge or #fmsphotoaday.  You can also follow me @basildonkitchens.

Until next time, Connie 🙂
