Quilting For Christmas: part 3

Welcome back to my Quilting for Christmas.  To recap, I have been working on my “Deck-ade the Halls” quilt, with hopes to have it finished for the holiday season.  (If you are interested in making this project, you can download the pattern here.)

There are 10 sections to this quilt.  The first being the list of supplies, and the last being the finishing instructions.  To date, I have completed the Three Wise Gingerbread Men and Star-Studded.

Today I am working on Download #4.  It is called “Vintage Ornaments”.  There are five ornaments, complete with hangers.  They all have a pretty star in the middle; very reminiscent of the old, blown glass ornaments with the hollowed out centres.  I managed to cut and assemble the block in one day.

Here is the finished Vintage Ornament block (9-1/2″ x 29″):

… and a closer look at the star detail in the centre of the ornaments:

I’m going to including some statistics on this quilt.  People always ask, “How many pieces are in that quilt?”, so I will let you know as we go along.

  1. Three Wise Gingerbread Men – 92 pieces
  2. Star-Studded – 88 pieces
  3. Vintage Ornaments – 146 pieces
  4. Currently total pieces in this quilt…326 pieces.

Thank you for visiting…you are helping to keep me on track.

Until next time, Connie 🙂
