Quilting for Christmas: part 4

Welcome back to my Quilting for Christmas.  To recap, I have been working on my “Deck-ade the Halls” quilt, with hopes to have it finished for the holiday season.  (If you are interested in making this project, you can download the pattern here.)

There are 10 sections to this quilt.  The first being the list of supplies, and the last being the finishing instructions.  To date, I have completed the Three Wise Gingerbread Men, Star-Studded and Vintage Ornaments.

Today I am working on Download #5.  It is called “Santa’s Stockings”.  There are two stockings.  They have a cute cuff made from snowmen fabric and a wonderful (and challenging) zig zag panel on each.  I managed to cut and assemble the block in one day.

Here is the finished Santa’s Stockings block (16″ x 20-1/2″):

I’m including some statistics on this quilt.  People always ask, “How many pieces are in that quilt?”, so I will let you know as we go along.

  1. Three Wise Gingerbread Men – 92 pieces
  2. Star-Studded – 88 pieces
  3. Vintage Ornaments – 146 pieces
  4. Santa’s Stockings – 94 pieces
  5. Currently total pieces in this quilt…420 pieces.

Four blocks completed, four more to go.

Thank you for visiting…you are helping to keep me on track.

Until next time, Connie 🙂
