Quilting for Christmas: Part 8

Welcome back to my Quilting for Christmas.  To bring you up to date, I have been working on my “Deck-ade the Halls” quilt, with hopes to have it finished for the holiday season.  (If you are interested in making this project, you can download the pattern here.)

There are 10 sections to this quilt.  The first being the list of supplies, and the last being the finishing instructions.  To date, I have completed the Three Wise Gingerbread Men, Star-Studded, Vintage Ornaments, Santa’s Stockings, Season of Giving , Holiday Homecoming and Trim the Tree.

Today I am working on Download #9, which is the very last block.  It is called “Cozy Cocoa Cups”.  These are the cutest mugs for hot chocolate.  Two are striped and one has a pretty star on it.

Here is the finished Cozy Cocoa Cups block (12-1/2″ x 25-1/2″):

People always ask, “How many pieces are in that quilt?”, so here are the current statistics:

  1. Three Wise Gingerbread Men – 92 pieces
  2. Star-Studded – 88 pieces
  3. Vintage Ornaments – 146 pieces
  4. Santa’s Stockings – 94 pieces
  5. Season of Giving – 36 pieces
  6. Holiday Homecoming – 71 pieces
  7. Trim the Tree – 36 pieces
  8. Cozy Cocoa Cups – 62 pieces
  9. Currently total pieces in this quilt…625 pieces.

All the blocks are now completed. (you can see the full size image by clicking on them)

Thank you for visiting…it’s time for a high-five!  All the blocks are complete.  Next step, assembly!

Until next time, Connie 🙂
