52 Photos Project – week 36: “landscape”

Welcome to week 36 of Bella’s 52 Photos Project.  This week’s prompt is “landscape”.

Today I’m sharing another photo from our last vacation to Kaua’i.

This is Waimea Canyon, also known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. It is a large canyon, approximately ten miles long and up to 3,000 feet deep, located on the western side of Kauaʻi in the Hawaiian Islands. This waterfall, named Manawaiopuna Falls, is also known as “The Jurassic Falls” as was featured in the movie, Jurassic Park.

We were very lucky to have an amazing, clear day for our visit.  Often, this area is enveloped in clouds.

Remember to check out Bella’s Flickr page to see what others are sharing for this prompt.  You can also follow along on Instagram, #52photosproject or follow me @basildonkitchens.

Thank you for visiting.

Until next time, Connie 🙂

I am living my dream life in the country! I love photography, travelling, cooking, baking and I even try my hand at quilting.
