May 2016 – week 18

Welcome back. This is week eighteen of my photo-a-day challenge.  Spring is finally here, thought it is still a little on the cool side. It is warming up slowly, the birds are back and busily building nests; & the perennials in the garden are all making an appearance.

Now on to this week’s photos:

May 1 – the horizon; I really enjoy watching the storms on the horizon when vacationing in Florida. They have the most amazing weather. This storm was moving away from us.

May 2 – repetition; I love the repetition of the rows of sprouting corn. The patterns are almost mezmorizing.

May 3 – texture; the curling cedar siding on this really old building has fantastic texture. I also think that the black & white treatment adds to the shot!

May 4 – numbers; there are lots of numbers on my kitchen scale.

May 5 – a window; pretty, soft afternoon sunlight through the window.

May 6 – comfy; our friends, the purple martins, have returned. They are busy making their home comfy for the new family that will soon be here!

May 7 – free choice; I love capturing a good sunrise. This is just down the road from my home.

I hope you had a great week and if you are in the northern hemisphere, are enjoying spring too!  Remember you can follow along on Instagram (#thebethadillychallenge) or follow me @BasildonKitchens.

Until next time, Connie 🙂
