Thursday doors …

Welcome back. Today I’m linking to Norm 2.0 Thursday Doors feature.

This is Rev. William Macauley’s house in Picton, ON; built in 1830. He was originally sent to the area as a missionary, and later established this parish.

I love the rather ‘fancy‘ front entrance. In this rural community, it was very posh in it’s day.

It is now a heritage site & a local museum. (You can read a little more about it here). We love visiting when they have some of their many festival days; looking back to how lives were lived many years ago. These photos were taken last fall on a very dull & overcast day.

I am always happy to see that some of these older homes have been restored & maintained. The next time you are in the neighborhood, you should try to stop in for a visit!

Do you like doors? You too, can join Thursday Doors; click on the link, to connect to Norm’s site, and follow the directions. You will see lots, and lots of doors…

Thanks for visiting…until next time, Connie 🙂

I am living my dream life in the country! I love photography, travelling, cooking, baking and I even try my hand at quilting.
