September 2016 | week 37

Welcome back to my photo-a-day journey.

Autuumn is upon us…the nights are getting chilly, though the days are still quite hot.

This has been a difficult week for me. I said goodbye to my mom. After a seven year battle with cancer, she is no longer in pain. For this I am grateful. Thank you to everyone who has been there and said prayers for all of us. The photo-a-day challenge has been helpful during this time…a little something to focus on when everything else seemed so dark.

September 11 – Today, I said my final goodby to mom 😦 She was the bravest woman I know. Determined. Self-sufficient. …and through the toughest times, still the best sense of humour and outlook on life! She will be in my heart forever. I love you Mom! xoxo

September 12 – free choice; an old decaying barn just down the road

September 13 – lazy; I love the lazy drifting of the early autumn mist in the early morning

Processed with Snapseed.

September 14 – in motion; not too much ‘motion’ with the Moira River after the driest summer on record

Processed with Snapseed.

September 15 – a dozen; oops, not quite!

Processed with Snapseed.

September 16 – starts with ‘c’; it’s a work day…so it’s a coffee & my computer!

Processed with Snapseed.

September 17 – shadows; from the archives…last year’s holiday in Kaua’i, I loved these tropical shadows

Thank you for joining me, until next time, Connie 🙂

I am living my dream life in the country! I love photography, travelling, cooking, baking and I even try my hand at quilting.

  1. I really like that one of the barn off to the side and the slightly foggy land. Also like the first one, but the second one really caught my eye. If you’ve been reading my blog you’ll know I love barns!
