January 2017 – week 3

Welcome back to my photo-a-day journey. This year, I am attempting something a little different. I am not following a set list of daily prompts; instead I am posting a photo daily. Let’s see how that goes … so far so good!

This week’s weather has been unseasonably warm and very damp. There is no snow left on our property…unheard of in January in South-Eastern Ontario! The damp hasn’t helped the fact that I’ve been under the weather for a second week now. The good news is I’ve finally turned a corner and am starting to feel like my old self again…thank you all for the good wishes.

January 15 – Sunday morning light; it has been a dreary few weeks and this was my Sunday morning… I can’t say how pleased I was to see the sunshine coming through the windows (brief as it was)

January 16 – morning light; another morning of sunlight – two days in a row!

January 17 – weather watching; looking through the blinds – back to rain with freezing rain predicted; as you can see, there is no snow left here!

January 18 – cough syrup is my friend; slowly getting over the flu – second week and still coughing like crazy!

January 19 – confused garden; unusually warm weather for a Canadian January! My herb garden is coming along nicely!  The thyme is doing amazingly well!

January 20 – ominous sky; more rain on the way!

January 21 – warm memories; another dark, damp & grey morning … I need to see something warm; here is one from a morning walk while on our most recent vacation in Florida. Can you feel the warmth?

Until next time, Connie 🙂

  1. Your skies are as threatening as ours, Connie! They have been claiming it’s going to rain since yesterday and it is just now spitting. The weather took a long time in arriving!
