Welcome back to my photo-a-day journey. This year, I am attempting something a little different. I am not following a set list of daily prompts; instead I am posting a photo daily. Let’s see how that goes … so far so good!
We are already into February and this week we met the middle of winter. We can see spring on the horizon! This week’s weather has had more snow and been considerably colder than the last several weeks. Much more in keeping with a typical Canadian winter.
Now on to this week’s photos:
January 29 – We awoke to a frosty & snowy morning…this is the view out the window. I love how the ice, snow & water looks.
January 30 – Today is my Mom’s birthday … the first since her passing last autumn. This is from my archives; the last zinnia from her beloved garden. I really miss her.
January 31 – Good Morning! It is so nice that I can see the sunrise in the mornings again. I don’t really enjoy travelling to & from work in the dark. This is always a joyous time for me.
And this is how January looks all together in a collage 🙂
February 1 – it was shaping up to be a ‘multiple cup of coffee’ kind of day! It was one of those days at work, but I survived! 😉
February 2 – Another beautiful sunrise on the way to work. I never get tired of nature’s beauty.
February 3 – crisp, cold & sunny … a lovely day in the neighbourhood. (Those are snow squalls over the lake, but luckily, they didn’t come ashore to mess up our day!)
Feburary 4 – Saturday morning chores, though this morning the grocery store was pretty empty!
As always, I thank you for visiting. Feel free to join in on Instagram, #ciuan365 or #nothingisordinary or you can just follow me @BasildonKitchens.
Until next time, Connie 🙂
