February 2017 – week 7

Welcome back to my photo-a-day journey. This year, I am attempting something a little different. I am not following a set list of daily prompts; instead I am posting a photo daily. Let’s see how that goes … so far so good!

This week’s weather has been very wintery.  A snow storm early in the week dropped 7″ in our area. It remained quite cold for most of the week, but warmed up dramatically by the weekend.

Now on to this week’s photos:

February 12 – snowing again; Sunday morning and the snow started to fall…and continued all day long.

February 13 – looking down the road; and it snowed & snowed & snowed.

February 14 – Valentine’s tulips; a gorgeous splash of color against all the white around us.

February 15 – cathching snowflakes; this Queen Anne’s Lace seemed to be reaching up to catch the snowflakes; you can see them gently stacking up…and don’t you think it looks like a heart?

February 16 – winter garden; just resting, waiting for warmer weather.

February 17 – wintery front lawn; it looks like a winter wonderland!

February 18 – the last of the tulips; even as they finish blooming and the petals are falling off, there is beauty; the early morning sunshine accentuating the details.

As always, I thank you for visiting. Feel free to join in on Instagram, #ciuan365 or #nothingisordinary or you can just follow me @BasildonKitchens.

Until next time, Connie 🙂

I am living my dream life in the country! I love photography, travelling, cooking, baking and I even try my hand at quilting.
