Weekly Challenge – ’emotion’

Welcome back to my 52 week photo challenge, where each prompt is designed to help you build your photographic skills.

This week we are exploring ‘emotion’.

I think it is the purpose of a photograph to elicit some sort of emotion. Sometimes it’s as simple as the look on someone’s face, or as deep as a breathtaking landscape.

Here are some of my examples:

This is my hubby…we were on a catamaran, sailing the Pacific Ocean – you can see the joy & exhilaration on his face, sea breeze blowing & sun shining on his face:

I love this photo of my aunt in quiet reflection:

Here is a couple on the beach in Florida. Every evening the beach fills up with people waiting for the sunset; and when the sun drops below the horizon, you hear applause all along the beach. The Gulf Coast has the most fabulous sunsets:

Here is one of those sunsets. It shows a lot of drama! This was taken last year just before Hurricane Matthew was due to arrive:

…and sunset is not the only dramatic time of day…here are a couple of daytime photos of an approaching storm:

And, locally, here is a beautiful sunrise that just makes me shiver! (it was -24C that particular morning)

Thank you for visiting. Until next time, Connie 🙂
