Welcome back to my 52 week photo challenge, where each prompt is designed to help you build your photographic skills.
I’ve been travelling, busy lately, so I will be catching up over the next several posts. (Thank you for your indulgence)
For week 15 is ‘bokeh’. The definition is the aesthetic quality of the blur produced in the out-of-focus parts of an image produced by a lens.
I am a hobby photographer, and bokeh is often a happy accident in the background when I focus on a particular subject; like the background behind a pretty flower; or Christmas tree lights in the corner and ornaments & lights in the foreground when I focused on an ornament. (click on any photo to see it larger or scroll through the slideshow).
However, sometimes, I do create this effect intentionally as you see here with Christmas lights on one of our trees in the snow.
…or even in the editing process, as seen here where I wanted to have the eye drawn to the dolphin swimming along side our boat.
Thank you for visiting. Until next time, Connie 🙂
