Welcome back to this year’s photo-a-day journey. I’m sharing little bits of my daily life & travels.
This week’s weather; only one word to describe it, wet! Lots and lots of rain. The temperatures have been steady at around 12C during the day, with only a couple of nights of frost. The landscape is slowly turning green and more & more birds are returning after the winter. The birdsong is just lovely this time of year.
Now onto this week’s photos:
May 7 – water, water everywhere; this is the season of waterfalls. In a few months, this pretty little waterfall will have dried up, so we have to enjoy it now.
May 8 – still raining; the full millpond in the hamlet of Milford
May 9 – still rising; the Moira River as it races through Belleville. In many places it was splashing up over the embankments. It peaked the following day, much to the relief of many.
May 10 – Good morning, Mr Sun! It has been a while since we have seen you. What a welcome sight after so many gray days.
May 11 – early morning shadows; another morning of glorious sunshine.
May 12 – Murray Canal at sunrise; I had to work in one of our other offices for a couple of days. I have to cross this canal on my way. The full canal was so still in the early morning.
May 13 – first violet; all that rain brought out the pretty little violets that are sprinkled all over my lawn. The saying is true! …April showers do bring May flowers! 🙂
