May/June 2017 – week 22

Welcome back to this year’s photo-a-day journey. I’m sharing little bits of my daily life & travels.

This week’s weather has been typically spring-like again; cool & wet. The warm temperatures of summer have not yet arrived, but it has still been beautiful.

Now onto this week’s photos:

May 28 – blooming; a close up of the pretty ‘Dames Rocket’ that can be seen everywhere; along roadsides & fence lines & in fields and wooded areas too… in varying shades of purple.

May 29 – here comes the rain; taken on a quick stop on my way to work; a beautiful but gloomy, rainy morning.

May 30 – fading apple blossoms; these are the last of the blossoms on this tree. You can see all the fallen petals, strewn like confetti on the grass.

May 31 – storm brewing; over the Bay of Quinte. I saw this in my rear view mirror as I drove over the Bay Bridge and had to stop and take this photo. This storm missed me but apparently turned into a pretty powerful, though short-lived thunderstorm.

May 2017 at a glance; another pretty month!

June 1 – a beautiful morning; I leave for work quite early. My reward is a view of my yard like this; pretty ahead & behind.

June 2 – dappled sunlight; another of the pretty Dames Rocket from a walk at a local conservation area.

June 3 – sparkling like diamonds; its warm enough to enjoy my morning coffee outside now – I caught the early sunlight sparkling on the creek bank.
