Welcome back to this year’s photo-a-day journey. I’m sharing little bits of my daily life & travels.
This week’s weather has finally started to get warmer; not as much rain and everything is growing. The grass is high, the flowers are blooming….

Now onto this week’s photos:
June 4 – the purple martins are back! I am thrilled every spring when these guys get back from their southern journey. They are busy building their nests & raising their young; they are very social and chatty; a joy to watch!
June 5 – a quilt in the garden; the people at the Stone Cottage have a beautiful garden & every year they open it up to the public. There are artists and craftsmen/women. There is music! A wonderful way to spend an afternoon!
June 6 – honeysuckle; I love how the sunlight filtered through the trees onto these delicate blooms.
June 7 – early morning sunlight; my favourite time of day; all is still; the birds are chirping & chattering…
June 8 – I found a dragon! No further explanation needed! 🙂
June 9 – chives; pretty, purple chive blossoms – another from our trip to the Stone Cottage garden.
June 10 – rock garden; these little white flowers looked like pillows among the rocks.
As always, I thank you for visiting. Feel free to join in on Instagram, #ciuan365 or #nothingisordinary or you can just follow me @BasildonKitchens.
Until next time, Connie 🙂
