August 2017 – week 33

Welcome back to this year’s photo-a-day journey. I’m sharing little bits of my daily life & travels.

This weather can only be described as another week of perfect summer weather.  Mostly sunny, but not too hot or humid; only a little rain with the occasional short-lived thunderstorm.

Now onto this week’s photos:

August 13 – more bees; I am fascinated with all the bees this year!  There has been concern in the past that our bee population is dwindling to dangerously low numbers, so it is very encouraging to see to many bees this year….and they make great photo subjects too!

August 14 – the ‘Shed’; There is a local alpaca farm in our area. When we have visiting guests, it is a favourite place to visit.  This is the view from inside the ‘shed’, as they call their little shop on the property.

August 15 – Brown Eyed Susans; one of my favourite flowers.  They always make me feel happy!

August 16 – Summer Skies; It has been a great summer. This is a view at Closson Chase Winery.

August 17 – layers; typical view in ‘the county’…layers of vines & corn…trees in the distance and that great sky!

August 18 – Terra Cello; another favourite winery that also serves up some of the BEST pizza in the area…served under a grape pergola, accompanied by a great soundtrack of Italian music.

August 19 – view from the tasting room; another view from Closson Chase Winery.  It is known for it’s distinctive purple barn.
