November 2017 – week 45

Welcome back to this year’s photo-a-day journey. I’m sharing little bits of my daily life & travels.

This week’s weather is really starting to get much colder. We had a few days with lots of wind and temperatures dropped to record-breaking lows at the end of the week. Old Man Winter can’t be too far behind.

Now onto this week’s photos:

November 5 – rain & falling leaves; a day of weather warnings, lots of rain and heavy gusts of wind, bringing more leaves down. Even though the day was grey & damp, there is beauty!

November 6 – just a little windy; while waiting to take the Glenora Ferry on our way to a shopping trip in the city.

November 7 – cloudy reflections; a calm morning after several days of rain & wind. I love this view! I never tire of it.

November 8 – rushing water; the result of all the rain we have been having recently. The water here is usually very still and calm.

November 9 – quiet morning reflection; the sun is welcome after so many days of rain & cloud. I was lucky to have a few minutes to enjoy this spot before starting my day. It was so peaceful this morning.

November 10 – Japanese maple; the fluorescent colours here caught my eye. This is one of my favourite trees; the leaves are so delicate and the colours so striking this time year.

November 11 – we will remember them; “on the 11th hour of the 11th day, we will remember them”. Thank you to all those that gave the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom we enjoy every day!
