Welcome and thank you for joining me on my fifth year of taking/posting photos every day.
This week’s weather has been another mixed bag; snow & cold temperatures and then warming and melting again. Canadian winters are never boring!
Now onto this week’s photos:
January 14 – dipping back into the cold; after a day with torrential rain & melting, the temperature dropped significantly and now we have mist rising from our creek. It looks so pretty in the early morning sunlight!
January 15 – more snow and freezing temperatures; this particular morning down to -24C! Add some wind and more snow and you get these pretty drifts along the creek bank.
January 16 – sunrise in the frosty pines; the angle of the early morning rays really shows off the heavy frost that was rising from the creek.
January 17 – more snow, overnight; again…but it is so pretty in the sunlight.
January 18 – getting warmer and even more snow; it was the prettiest snowfall…big fluffy flakes drifting from the sky and it was so quiet early in the morning…the snow just seems to absorb all sound! I could have stood here forever!
January 19 – snow, sunshine & shadows; my three favourite winter things 🙂
January 20 – Saturday afternoon tea-time; decided to stay in today. A cup of tea in one of my ‘fancy tea cups’ was in order…though a friend reminded me that every day should be a fancy cup day! I agree!
I thank you for visiting. Feel free to join in on Instagram, #ciuan365 or #nothingisordinary or you can just follow me @BasildonKitchens.
Until next time, Connie 🙂
