Welcome and thank you for joining me on this year’s project of taking/posting photos every day.
This week’s weather is still bouncing around from very cold to warm enough to melt the ice & snow…so typical weather for these parts.
Now onto this week’s photos:
February 11 – frozen fog – with the big swings in temperature, we get some wonderful photo opportunities like this frozen fog. It had been quite warm, but the temperature dropped quickly and the morning fog froze…it was magical.
February 12 – view from aboard the ferry – just as a squall was coming in. I was particularly interested in the subtle pop of colour from the winter willow at the edge of the water.
February 13 – longer days mean seeing more sunrises on the way to work. A view like this makes it hard not to stop and take photos, and being late for work 😉
February 14 – Happy Valentine’s Day – the accompanying card said, “Flowers make everything better”. I whole-heartedly agree!
February 15 – red door in the old firehouse – and lots and lots of icicles! Another result of the cold/warm trends in temperature, but oh, so pretty!
February 16 – lake ice breaking up – I love all views of the lake shore, and the changing winter ice beckons me. I should have taken this as a video as the movement of the water under the ice was mesmerizing…slowly undulating…I could have stood here for hours…or at least until I got too cold!
February 17 – multiple family dwelling – this is the coolest tree at Lakeshore Lodge in Sandbanks Provincial Park. I could see several kinds of birds flitting in and around the various openings, as well as a very cheeky squirrel staking out his/her territory.
I thank you for visiting. Feel free to join in on Instagram, #ciuan365 or #nothingisordinary or you can just follow me @BasildonKitchens.
Until next time, Connie 🙂
