March 2018 – week 13

Welcome and thank you for joining me on this year’s project of taking/posting photos every day.

The weather this week continues to be typical of March; spring-like one day, and then snow the next and windy!

Now onto this week’s photos:

March 25 – windowsill blooms; even though it’s still chilly outside, I have spring blooms on my windowsill garden. This is a shamrock blooming! Isn’t it pretty?

March 26 – last year’s beech leaves; sun shining through the bare tree branches of early spring illuminate the beech leaves from last year…a little splash of colour before the expected burst of green that isn’t far away.

March 27 – windy day at Long Point; the calendar says spring & the sun is shining, but winter is sending a final blast of cold in a biting wind!

March 28 – looking for the perfect nesting place; I came upon this pair of Canada Geese as I rounded the shoreline. They were not impressed that I disturbed them; & noisily let me know I was trespassing!

March 29 – a view of the icy bay; there is still lots of ice on South Bay.  I imagine someone is very eager for warm weather views, but they are ready when it finally arrives!

March 30 – silhouette; very early morning light. I love the softness!

March 31 – geometric view; I travel over this bridge twice a day & love that you can follow a waterfront trail under it. The ice is slowly melting as you can see in the distance. I love the perspective and vanishing point in this particular view.

I thank you for visiting. Feel free to join in on Instagram, #ciuan365 or #nothingisordinary or you can just follow me @BasildonKitchens.

Until next time, Connie 🙂
