April 2018 – week 14

Welcome and thank you for joining me on this year’s project of taking/posting photos every day.

The weather this week has been pretty crazy. We had a day of rain, then the wind picked up to 102 kph gusts…then awoke to new snow. Thankfully it didn’t stay, but it is still really chilly out. Mother Nature seems to be toying with us…

Now onto this week’s photos:

Let’s start with March at-a-glance! I love these monthly collages…it is fun to see the whole month all together!

March at a glance

April 1 – Happy Easter! Spent the long weekend, celebrating with family, a fresh bouquet of tulips & some Easter chocolates, perfection.

April 2 – chilly sunrise; very pretty, but also very cold! …and not 5 minutes later the clouds came and it was damp & grey for the rest of the day.

April 3 – new swans; I have not seen swans at my favourite marshland before and I’m excited to see if there will be a family there! Stay tuned…

April 4 – it was a dark & stormy morning; and it only got worse from here with heavy rain, extreme wind, & then snow!

April 5 – after the rain, comes the sun; but it is still very cold (-6C with windchill making it feel like -11C) Brrrr!

April 6 – impatiently waiting for spring; since nothing is growing outside yet I have to enjoy a friend’s bouquet inside.

April 7 – morning light; I love capturing the soft morning light.

I am living my dream life in the country! I love photography, travelling, cooking, baking and I even try my hand at quilting.

    1. I considered getting out with a friend to capture the crazy waves, after work…but I could hardly stand, so quickly decided on safety first…but I have seen some great shots taken locally! I guess I. A fair-weather photographer. 😉

      1. Given all the destruction that happened that day, the most comical thing I saw was in the parking lot at Costco.
Anyone who walked out of the building was immediately surprised to have anything remotely light in their shopping cart picked up by the wind and tossed across the parking lot.
        I shouldn’t have laughed … but I did 😆
