April 2018 – week 16

Welcome and thank you for joining me on this year’s project of taking/posting photos every day.

This week’s weather has been difficult, as ice storms usually are. Though the end of the week brought back the sunshine and warmer temperatures. I can only hope that spring is finally here.

Now onto this week’s photos:

April 15 – the view from here; this is the view out of my living room window. It is ice-covered and we are staying indoors where it is warm and cozy. No need to be on the icy roads; we have food & provisions if the power should go out.

April 16 – ice storm; it doesn’t look like I’m going anywhere this morning…the car is completely covered in ice…though the grill looks like it is smiling (or perhaps laughing at us)

April 17 – ice-covered tree buds; all the trees are still covered in ice. I hope this doesn’t do much damage to the trees.

April 18 – still snowing; we are starting to wonder if it will ever end and will spring finally arrive.

April 19 – spring flooding; with all the rain, ice & snow, the water levels are quite high. This is my favourite wetlands and you can see the water flowing over the lane.

April 20 – cream swirls in my coffee; another cold dreary start to the day…I’m going to need this coffee to warm up and get busy!

April 21 – finally a sunny day; hooray! The temperature is warmer. The sun is shining. I almost forgot what it looked like. I hope this is the start of a warming trend!
