April 2018 – week 17

Welcome and thank you for joining me on this year’s project of taking/posting photos every day.

This week’s weather had a bit of everything…sunshine & crisp, cool breezes, rain, and finishing the week on a sunny warming trend. Let’s hope it continues. April is almost over and we all are looking forward to the warmer weather that May promises!

Now onto this week’s photos:

April 22 – budding maples; they just burst out on one of the few sunny, warm days so far this year…and don’t they just look so great against that glorious, blue sky?!

April 23 – lilac buds; more signs of spring. I can hardly wait to see and smell the lilac blooms!

April 24 – sprouts in the sunlight; the day lilies in my front garden are also enjoying another day of sunshine…though the rains returned later in the day.

April 25 – forgotten entry; on a grey morning, I stopped at the old army base. Some of the barracks are in bad shape. This entry must have so many old & interesting stories to tell.

April 26 – fixer upper; several of the old barracks are falling down right in front of our eyes – roofs have caved in and the walls are collapsing.

April 27 – morning reflections; finally another day of sunshine…I love when I have a few minutes before work to walk along the bay.

April 28 – spring bouquet; a girlfriend sent me these flowers earlier in the week. This morning they still look so pretty and with the morning sun through the window, they were begging to be photographed.
