Welcome and thank you for joining me on this year’s project of taking/posting photos every day.
This week’s weather can only be described as perfect late spring weather – warm, sunny with only a few morning or night-time showers.
Now onto this week’s photos:
May 27 – dandelion bokeh; early morning along my creek bank…love the bokeh from the water behind.
May 28 – hostas; last week these were just a few spires coming out of the ground – now it is bursting forth to bloom…spring gardens are amazing in their speed from sprouts to blooms!
May 29 – fragrant roses; I wish I could share the overwhelming sweet scent of this rose. So many roses these days have been bred for their beauty, but have lost their sweet scent. This was obviously a very old, established bush…a real beauty for all the senses!
May 30 – lilacs & blue skies; stopped here on my way to work – the sunlight perfectly accentuated the rusty barb-wire fence along the road.
May 31 – between rain showers; initially I stopped to take another photo, but when I turned to go back to my car, the sun peeked through the clouds at that precise moment! I’m delighted to have been there and captured it. Literally, it was between two rain showers. I continue to be in awe of nature!
May 2018 – another month and another collage – May was wonderful! Travel and spring…an exciting month!
June 1 – wild phlox & an ivy covered silo; another day and another stop along the way to work – I love this ivy covered silo and the wild phlox added a pretty hit of color!
June 2 – first blooming iris; another spring bloom – purple seems to be the dominant color in my garden. These irises always impress!
I thank you for visiting. Feel free to join in on Instagram, #ciuan365 or #nothingisordinary or you can just follow me @BasildonKitchens.
