Monthly Quilting Review – June 2018

I seem to need some method to keep me accountable, if only to myself. With that in mind, I am publishing a monthly review to document my progress. Maybe this will make me more productive as well!

I’m happy to report some progress this month.

I am currently working on:

Sand & Sea Table Topper – Complete

This is now finished and in use. I’m very happy with the result.

Thimbleberries Table Runner – Complete

While cleaning up my quilt/sewing room, I found this kit that I had purchased years ago and decided to put it together one rainy weekend. It is a perfect fall accent for my table!

Deck-ade The Halls (started in 2014)

No new progress

Next step: quilt & bind. (I’m having trouble deciding how to quilt this project – I keep going back & forth between three options: a) send it to be quilted by someone on a long-arm machine; b) machine quilting it myself, though this option makes me nervous; and c) hand quilting.) Any suggestions are welcome here…. 🙂

New projects planned:

Florida Memory Quilt:

Every year while on vacation, I purchased a few fat quarters that will remind me of those vacations. I have been looking for the perfect pattern to make a memory quilt. Progress: Pattern found; no new progress this month.

I am living my dream life in the country! I love photography, travelling, cooking, baking and I even try my hand at quilting.
