Welcome and thank you for joining me on this year’s project of taking/posting photos every day.
This week’s weather was perfect; some hot days, some not so hot!
Now onto this week’s photos:
July 15 – first light over Kingston; I spent a bit of time with friends in Kingston, Ontario. This is the view from my hotel room, just before sunrise. Kingston’s City Hall and the St. Lawrence River & Wolfe Island in the distance
July 16 – view from Fort Henry; we drove up to the Fort and walked around the parkland surrounding it. This is looking south, across the St. Lawrence River with views of one of the Martello Towers and wind mills on Wolfe Island.
July 17 – waiting for the ferry; travelling along the lake means crossing the Bay of Quinte on the Glenora Ferry. Day-lilies are everywhere this time of year, adding a splash of colour in gardens and along roadsides.
July 18 – Kingston skyline; another photo from my Kingston trip. This is also from Fort Henry, looking toward Kingston’s skyline. You can see the Royal Military College in the foreground. Thunderstorms were threatening all day, but we were lucky that they held off.
July 19 – chicory; this is another seasonal wildflower that lines the roadsides this time of year. I love watching the colours of the local plants with the season.
July 20 – dew-laden web; I awoke to a foggy morning and noticed all kinds of spider webs in the low morning sun. I stopped at my favourite marshland and was able to get a few good photos. The fog or dew had accentuated the webs, showing the amazing patterns created by spiders.
July 21 – rural views; another early morning view as I make my way to work. Fields ready for harvest; dew on the fence line and sparkling off of the grasses and wildflowers lining the roadside.
I thank you for visiting. Feel free to join in on Instagram, #ciuan365 or #nothingisordinary or you can just follow me @BasildonKitchens.
Until next time, Connie 🙂
